I have an odd obsession with Nashville, for a while I tried to convince Garrett that we should move to Nashville, for no particular reason save that we could maybe run into Jack White at all the cool coffee shops and whatnot we’d be frequenting. I’d only been once, for a few hours at a wedding magazine party, at night, but I was pretty sure it was magical. Now I have a few more ties to the city with a few really amazing friends there, and while Birmingham might be as big of a city as I can fathom being raised in a teensy little NC town, I’m excited for any chance to head that way. And so, when Alexa asked me if I traveled to Nashville for weddings, it was hard not to email back with only exclamation points. I’m pretty excited to head back for another engagement session for some friends this weekend and of course for Alexa and Adam’s wedding in August!
Alexa and Adam, especially Alexa, were explosions of giggles during the duration of the engagement session, and as a result I don’t know that I stopped smiling and laughing myself. I accidentally showed up in my red Canada fleece jacket that my in-laws brought back from a recent trip, totally forgetting that Alexa is actually Canadian and so I probably seemed hilarious. Alexa and Adam are both doctors who absolutely love what they do (and Alexa is a pediatrician and loves kids and it beams from her smile, I love it!). Meeting all kinds of people who are really happy and in love is one of my favorite things about being a wedding photographer, and maybe the only ways my anthropology major induced curiosity comes in handy. I am seriously in awe of Alexa and Adam’s gusto for life, their love of their professions, and their smitten-ness with each other. They are lighting up the world and making it a better place, and I’m so excited for a chance to share a bit of their joy in my photographs. Also, it took a whole lot of restraint not to tag this post “Doctor Love.” Enjoy!
I love Alexa’s dress and shoes! And the gold watch and her curly hair. She’s so lovely!
I’m obsessed. The red heels and the dress (STRIPES) and hands on the face…too perfect!
